Current issues in relation to COVID-19

SARS-CoV-2 currently affects the entire world. In addition to the serious repercussions to humanity’s state of health, it also entailed economically devastating effects, which are becoming more evident every day. Despite the continuous set of measures that are being put in place to combat the COVID-19 crisis, there is a high level of uncertainty.

Although the first comprehensive packages of measures to combat COVID-19 were already adopted on 16 March 2020 and 20 March 2020 in the form of the 1st and 2nd COVID-19 Act, the National Council adopted further legislative measures on 3 April 2020, namely the 3rd, 4th and 5th COVID-19 Act. In addition, some decrees by various ministers are still pending, which further specify the laws and measures.

We are, of course, determined to stay up-to-date with any developments in this regard and will adapt our articles on the respective legislative measures for you on an ongoing basis.

Our aim is to provide you with an overview of the current situation with the subsequent statements. Nevertheless, these statements only concern a selection of the – for us – most relevant fields of law.
